A program was organized within the scope of "8 March International Women's Day" in cooperation with our University's Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center (KAÇUM) and Iğdır Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
Nilüfer Baykal Turan, wife of Iğdır Governor Ercan Turan, and our Vice Rector Prof. attended the program held at Karaağaç Campus 15 July Martyrs Conference Hall. Dr. Recep Gülşen, Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Selçuk Akgün, provincial protocol members, academicians, students and citizens attended.
The opening speeches of the program, which started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, were made by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Gülşen and KAÇUM Director Lecturer. See. Senem Önder Özbakır made it.
Lecturer See. Dr. In the program, which continued with the panel moderated by Esma Başaran Şahin, Dr. Lecturer Member Eda Gülbetekin, Lecturer. See. Nuray Bayat Usta, Ayşegül Korhan and Yıldız Aktaş spoke.
While Gülbetekin made a presentation on "Women in the Postpartum Process" at the panel, Bayat Usta evaluated the phenomenon of "Women from the Perspective of East and West" in the context of religions.
Lecturer See. Bayat Usta also touched upon the drama experienced by women and children whose right to live in Palestine was taken away and stated that this genocide must end.
Social Worker Ayşegül Korhan made a presentation on "Role Patterns in the Context of Gender". Finally, Yıldız Aktaş, President of Iğdır Entrepreneurial Women's Cooperative, shared the work done by women's cooperatives and her own experiences.
After the panel, the participants were informed by our University's Department of Musicology, Dr. Lecturer A musical concert, prepared under the direction of member Tolga Ergül, was presented by our students Urfan Altın, Şeval Özen and Dilan Oruç.
Finally, Lecturer. See. The group exhibition titled "8 March International Women's Day", curated by Elif Kırkkeseli, was opened.
At the end of the events, Iğdır Governor Ercan Turan's wife Nilüfer Baykal Turan, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Recep Gülşen, Family and Social Services Provincial Director Selçuk Akgün, ŞÖNİM Director Seda Akar Akgöz and Kadem Provincial Representative Hayrunisa Bakkıran presented certificates of appreciation to the speakers, musicians and exhibition participants.
